Treatment 01 · Dental Implants

A missing tooth, replaced at the root.

An implant is a titanium root placed in the jaw where the tooth is missing. Once it fuses with the bone, it carries a crown or bridge that stays fixed — you eat, speak and clean it like a tooth of your own.

Who It Is For

One tooth, several teeth, or a full arch.

  • A single missing tooth — without grinding down the healthy teeth beside it, as a bridge would.
  • Several missing teeth — implants can carry a bridge, so not every tooth needs its own implant.
  • A loose denture — implants can fix a denture in place, ending the movement and the adhesives.
  • A tooth that cannot be saved — removal and implant planning are assessed together, in one place.

How It Works

Four stages, no surprises

01

Assess

Examination and 3D imaging of the jaw — bone quantity, position, and the condition of neighbouring teeth.

02

Place

The implant is placed surgically under local anaesthesia. Aftercare and medication are explained before you leave.

03

Fuse

A healing period while the implant fuses with the bone — the foundation everything else stands on.

04

Finish

The crown, bridge or fixed denture is fitted, the bite is checked, and review visits are scheduled.

On Cost

What the price depends on

Implant cost is not one number, and any clinic that quotes one sight-unseen is guessing with your money. It depends on how many implants you need, whether the bone needs grafting first, and the crown or bridge material you choose. After your assessment, you get the full outline in writing — then you decide.

“His service is outstanding and he is an amazing doctor. Very professional and friendly. He guided us throughout the medical procedure with good information and clear options/choices. He answered all our questions, explained what was going on and made the whole procedure much easier than it could have been.”

Implant Questions

Before you book

Most adults with a missing tooth and reasonably healthy bone are. The consultation and 3D assessment confirm it — if the bone is thin, options such as grafting are discussed before any decision.

Typically: consultation and imaging, the placement visit, a healing period while the implant fuses with the bone, and then the crown or bridge visit — with review visits in between. Your plan states your sequence up front.

Placement is done under local anaesthesia, and post-procedure discomfort is managed with medication and aftercare instructions. The procedure, and what recovery feels like, are explained in full before the day.

It depends on the number of implants, whether grafting is needed, and the crown or bridge chosen. You receive a written cost outline after the assessment — before you decide.

An implant that fuses well and is maintained — cleaning, reviews, no smoking — is a long-term replacement. The review visits in your plan exist to keep it that way.
