Treatment 03 · Oral Cancer Care
Found early, oral cancer is treatable. Start with an examination.
A patch, an ulcer that will not heal, a lump — most turn out to be nothing serious, and the only way to know is to have them examined. At OraMax, that examination is done by a surgeon whose practice is head & neck cancer.

When to Come In
Signs that should not wait
- An ulcer or sore in the mouth that has not healed within two weeks.
- A white or red patch on the tongue, cheek or gums that does not wipe away.
- A lump in the mouth, jaw or neck — painless ones included.
- Persistent numbness, bleeding without cause, or a tooth loosening on its own.
- A long history of tobacco, gutkha or paan use — screening is worthwhile even without symptoms.
None of these signs means cancer. All of them mean: get it looked at.
The Practice
One surgeon, from screening to surgery.
Dr. Sumit Patidar's stated scope at OraMax covers oral cancer, head & neck cancer, facial reconstruction and facial trauma. If a screening finds something that needs treatment, you are not referred onward and started again with a stranger — the surgeon who examined you plans the biopsy, the surgery and the reconstruction.
Patients describe the experience in the reviews: patience, clear options, and procedures explained before they happen.
How It Proceeds
From first look to full plan
Screen
A careful examination of the mouth and neck, and a discussion of habits and history.
Confirm
If anything is suspicious, a biopsy and imaging establish exactly what it is — no treatment before a diagnosis.
Treat
Surgery planned around both removing the disease and reconstructing what it takes — function and appearance together.
Follow Up
Scheduled reviews after treatment, watching the area and your recovery over time.
“I have detected with mouth cancer...then I meet to Sumit sir and they operate ...now I am completely fine....my experience with sir is very good”
“I had a neck swelling, I visited Dr . Sumit patidar operated 6 month ago. Today I m good with no complain. I strongly recommend for Oral cancer & Head neck cancer treatment.”
Screening Questions
Before you book
A careful visual and physical examination of the lips, tongue, cheeks, gums, floor and roof of the mouth, and the neck. It is an examination — it does not hurt, and it is the fastest way to know whether something needs attention or can simply be watched.
No. Most patches, ulcers and lumps examined turn out to be benign. A screening separates the ones that can be left alone from the few that need a biopsy or treatment — early, while treatment is simpler.
An ulcer or sore that has not healed in two weeks, a white or red patch that does not wipe away, a lump in the mouth or neck, persistent numbness, or a tooth that loosens without cause. Any of these deserves an examination soon, not eventually.
The plan — what will be removed, how the area will be reconstructed, recovery and follow-up — is explained in full before anything is scheduled. Dr. Patidar's practice covers head & neck cancer surgery and facial reconstruction, so assessment and surgery stay with one surgeon.
